Summertime Smiles

Here are some of my favorite images from a Photo Shoot this month. What a lovely time I had photographing this young lady — she had so much poise, grace and to top it all off – a beautiful angelic smile. Such a natural in front of the camera with none of the awkwardness that kids generally have.  I specially love the photograph below because it is under a tree in her backyard that is her favorite spot – what a special place for a little girl to read and daydream 🙂

Ready for Junior Prom!

There’s something so special about looking and feeling gorgeous ready for Prom or Senior Ball. It’s a great time to set up a 30-minute Portrait Session before they head out. The dress, the hair, the makeup, the jewelry, the shoes, the nails — everything has been planned perfectly — and you see a princess emerge. She will look like this in this dress only this once. What a special moment to capture, and one of the the things I love about my work. You go girl!!

Bring out the glitter

Bring out the glam

Bring out those high heels

And bring out your style

Bring out that gorgeous smile

Be a star and shine!

Spring is in the air…

Flowers are blooming and the fresh crispness of Spring is in the air. Not surprisingly, it is one of my favorite times of the year for portraits! I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful family recently. My favorite moment: when Mom gets a spontaneous kiss and hug from her son. I know — the Awww moment — why I do what I do 🙂 And then it all comes together in the perfect family photograph. What a gorgeous canvas that is going to be in their home…

Oh, and this one is my favorite too! I have trouble picking just one :) And to think that it almost did not happen! I was actually done with the Portrait Session, had packed up my camera in the bag, and was on my way out to the parking lot. As I was leaving, I saw the two boys wrestling around and being boys. I turned around and got my camera out again. With a little help from mom, I placed myself so I could get the shot without disturbing them too much and losing the moment. I am so glad I did. I absolutely love the curve of the bench, the background, and of course their adorable smiles.  Oh, and this one is my favorite too!
